FCPX for Broadcast News article now live on the Creative COW!

Over the past two years, I spent hundreds of hours intensely studying FCPX to see if I could use it to edit broadcast news stories that I had cut for years in FCP legacy. In recent months, I was finally able to put finger to keyboard and write a bit of a tutorial/manifesto/documentation about my experiences and techniques.

I hope you enjoy this article as much as I did writing it.

  1. Hi Michael,

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your Creative Cow article about editing with FCPX. Seems like you’ve got a really solid workflow there. all you need now is a hotter internet connection.

I also had a look at your programme about the Iraqi immigrants and found it a very well balanced piece, similar in style to BBC documentaries ( i’m from the UK ) very nicely paced, with those gaps to absorb the information.

I’ve been using FCPX since it’s launch and honestly think it’s a fantastic NLE, it’s all under the hood, and it’s great to hear that programme makers such as yourself are using it within the broadcast environment.

    So thanks for the post,

    Mark
